freeware antivirus

I haven't yet had the time to detail/review the following freeware anti-virus apps, but wanted to post this up to avail you as to some of the av apps (that are freeware) to possibly considering using on your system(s) :-)

Solid antivirus package for the home non-profit users.

avast! Home is an antivirus package which is intended for the home non-profit users. This program can be used on a single computer and is free after registration.

avast! Home is the complete antivirus program which is able to find computer viruses, to create and to check the integrity of the programs installed, to test the executed programs and opened documents, to test the email and other functions. There are two interfaces available: simple (CD recorder) or enhanced. Scanning is also available in the shell extension and screen saver.
